Major new initiative following 185% growth in channel
sales
Sophos Anti-Virus, Europe's leading developer of corporate virus
protection, is launching the Sophos Partner Program as part of its
global channel strategy. The initiative is designed to strengthen
Sophos's channel position - worldwide channel sales of Sophos
Anti-Virus having grown by 185% in the last year - by attracting
new resellers and delivering comprehensive support for all
partners.
The Sophos Partner Program offers the following benefits:
- Training and sales tools to enable resellers to advise
customers on sound anti-virus practice
- A certification scheme where accredited partners gain higher
margins, marketing assistance and qualified lead generation
- Incentive schemes to reward individual sales performance.
Sophos also supports partner sales efforts by managing all
aspects of software subscriptions directly, advising partners of
customers' license expiry and automatically emails newly available
virus identities to end users.
"We have a growing commitment to our partners, with channel
sales now making up 50% of the company's worldwide turnover," said
Mark Forrest, Director of Sales and Marketing for Sophos
Anti-Virus. "This initiative underlines our enthusiasm to work with
our partners and provides a solid platform to support their
success. Ultimately, we are committed to providing first class
anti-virus protection and support: working with quality partners
helps us achieve this aim."
"Sophos values its partners as highly as its end users," said
Michael Tingay, Senior Buyer for Action Computer Supplies UK, a
Sophos partner. "The emphasis is on being attentive, informative
and professional at all times. Sophos is a fine example of a
software house getting it right."
Sophos Anti-Virus is a unique solution to the virus problem,
providing true cross-platform protection in a single, fully
integrated product. The network-centric design provides a host of
benefits for the protection of servers, workstations and portables.
Sophos's ground-breaking architecture maximises protection, while
minimising performance and administrative overheads.
Over 65% of the UK's top 100 corporations already use Sophos
Anti-Virus technology and third party vendors and service providers
also combine Sophos's anti-virus capabilities with firewalls, email
servers, encryption devices and other security-related devices.
