Matt Fairbanks joined Sophos in 2012 as CMO. He is responsible for the company’s global marketing strategy, market development and go-to-market activities. Prior to Sophos, he served as senior vice president of product and solution marketing at McAfee, leading go-to-market activities for the company’s entire range of business security solutions. Previously, he served as vice president of product marketing at Citrix, with responsibility for their Xen virtualization and application delivery product lines. He also held senior marketing and product management roles at Symantec, Veritas and Seagate. At Symantec, he defined go-to-market strategies for a $2.0 billion software product family and led product marketing and campaign marketing for the entire “Veritas” software portfolio. At Veritas, he served as senior director of product marketing, where he defined and executed product marketing initiatives for a $1.0 billion software product family.
Matt has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business.
