Issue

USB Token/Smartcard Reader or Fingerprint Reader not working on certain Lenovo models

First seen in

Operating System
Windows XP, Windows 7

What To Do

As of SafeGuard Enterprise 5.50.0.116, the automatically applied POA hotkeys contain a general condition for Lenovo hardware with the below mentioned USB Controllers to increase the amount of installations working out of the box. This has the disadvantage if you need the USB devices at POA and have a machine which is working in general, that Shift + F5 must be used to enable USB again.

<USB-Controller VID="1002" UseVID="1" PID="4396" UsePID="1" />

<USB-Controller VID="8086" UseVID="0" PID="3B3C" UsePID="0" />
