In an independent review on endpoint security suites, Sophos Computer Security Small Business
Edition 4.0 was ranked one of the top three solutions for its
solid defense against malware threats and robust firewall
capabilities.
The solution, which is an all-in-one anti-virus, anti-spam,
firewall and encryption security package for small businesses,
detected 99 per cent of spyware and viruses. The review also found
that Sophos's client firewall kept the host well protected on the
network, ensuring small businesses are kept safe from hackers and
other unauthorised applications trying to connect to the
system.
The ZDNet review, performed by Enex TestLab,
compared 11 different security suites in its ability to detect
malware and the effectiveness of its desktop firewall. Testing the
solutions using default protections settings, Sophos was found to
outperform similar security products from a wide range of security
vendors including McAfee, Trend Micro and Check Point.
According to Rob Forsyth,
Managing Director, Asia Pacific, a positive review from the
independent Enex Test Labs is terrific confirmation that small
businesses can rest easy with Sophos's Computer Security Small
Business Edition 4.0 knowing their sensitive data is well protected
against data theft and virus outbreaks before they become a
disruption to the business and without compromising legitimate
business use.
"We are very pleased with the results of this roundup review, in
particular the acknowledgement of the strength of our anti-malware
detection engine. Sophos invests in significant R&D to ensure
that we can best protect our customers, and the results of this
test reinforce this."
Sophos Computer Security, along with Sophos Anti-Virus and
Sophos Security Suite are the three options available to small
businesses in Sophos's Small Business 4.0 edition. Each solution is
easy-to-use and provides 24/7 support, so small business owners can
ensure the sensitive data on their Mac and Window based PCs and
Exchange email servers are well protected against harmful internet
security threats.
