Sophos Endpoint Security and Data Protection named 'Reviewer's Choice' and awarded best enterprise anti-virus solution by Government Computer News
Sophos praised for its versatility, compatibility, features and ease-of-use
IT security and Data Protection firm Sophos today announced that
Sophos Endpoint Security and
Data Protection, a cross-platform solution featuring antivirus,
client firewall, Network
Access Control and encryption
software all in one simplified console , earned a "Reviewers
Choice" status in a recent product review round up conducted by
Government Computer News (GCN). Sophos achieved this status for its
versatility, compatibility, feature set and ease-of-use. Sophos was
also chosen as the best anti-virus
solution for midsize to large organizations over Symantec and
Trend. Focusing on endpoint anti-virus and network security, GCN focused its
review on several categories - ease-of-use, price, features and
overall performance.
According to GCN Labs, "Sophos impressed us from the beginning"
- managing a network of computers from a single console saves IT
departments time and money as it only requires one network
administrator to manage the tasks as opposed to many.
GCN concluded that "Sophos's ability to offer security to a wide
breadth of operating systems and software in an easy-to-use manner
sets this program apart" from others. The reviewer also stated that
"Sophos is easier to use and navigate" compared to Symantec's
Endpoint Protection 11.0".
