Sophos has been named a finalist in the SC Magazine Awards

IT security and control firm Sophos today announced that its
Network Access Control offering, Sophos NAC Advanced, has
beaten off strong competition to reach the finals for 'Best Network
Security' at the SC Magazine Awards Europe 2008. All entries were
reviewed by an independent and expert panel of judges, who
determined the award's shortlist.
Sophos NAC Advanced offers the only truly vendor neutral and
software-based NAC solution for endpoint assessment and control.
Its preventive approach to pre- and post-connect assessment of
computers eliminates risks to the network with policy enforcement
and remediation. Sophos simplifies NAC policy creation, providing
over 1,000 predefined applications and operating system patches,
and a simple-to-use interface allows administrators to change
policy modes from reporting to remediate to enforce with one click
of the mouse.
