Sophos joins Australia's fastest growing SME's in BRW business index

Sophos Pty Ltd, the wholly-owned subsidiary of UK-based corporate anti-virus specialist Sophos Plc, has been placed 30th in the latest BRW Fast 100 index, which was announced at an awards ceremony in Melbourne last night.
The annual index, first published in 1991, lists Australia's fastest growing companies in all industry sectors and is open to both private and public companies with fewer than 200 employees.
Sophos Anti-Virus is a core enterprise anti-virus solution, protecting businesses from more than 75,000 computer viruses and other destructive malware. Product strength plus the quality of partner support and end-user training programs have established Sophos as a major player in the corporate anti-virus space in Australia and New Zealand, with strongly increased market share.
"We are delighted to have qualified for BRW's prestigious list of 100 fastest growing companies in Australia," said Stuart Palmer, managing director of Sophos Australia and New Zealand. "Our strategic investment in a Sydney-based high security virus laboratory for research, analysis and development; our 24x7 customer support; the quality of our people, both within Sophos and with our partners; and the key enterprise focus for Sophos Anti-Virus have greatly contributed to our success.
"We continue to implement strategies that offer our customers value-added protection from the increasing range of digital threats in the wild, and look forward to on-going accelerated growth in 2003."
BRW Fast 100 is the latest in a series of BRW indexes, ranging from Australia's top 1,000 corporations to the 200 richest people in Australia. BRW (Business Review Weekly) is published by Fairfax Business Media and bills itself as Australia's leading business magazine.
