Hazem Ben-Gacem
Non-Executive Director
Hazem Ben-Gacem is a Managing Director at Investcorp and has been a founding partner of its technology private equity activities since its inception in 2001.
Between 1994 and 2001, Mr Ben-Gacem was a member of Investcorp's European leveraged buyout team, where he was responsible for the origination and execution of new leveraged buyout investments in Europe, including the buyouts of Leica Geosystems, Breguet and Ebel in Switzerland, and Helly Hanson in Norway.
He is or has been on the board of directors of: Acta Technologies, Wireless Telecommunication Group and KGB (US); Spectel, Conduit and Objectstar (Ireland), Willtek Communications GmbH, Utimaco Safeware AG and Mania Technologie AG (Germany); and Moneybookers Limited, TDX Group and Sophos plc (UK).
Prior to joining Investcorp, Mr. Ben-Gacem was a member of Credit Suisse First Boston's Mergers & Acquisitions team in New York.
Mr. Ben-Gacem is a graduate of Harvard University where he received a B.A. in Economics with Honors, and currently serves on the Dean’s Council for the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
