Edwin J. Gillis

Ed Gillis is currently a member of the board of directors and chairman of the audit committees of Teradyne Corporation (NYSE), LogMeIn (NASDAQ) and Endeca Technologies Inc. He was a director and chairman of the audit committees of BladeLogic (NASDAQ) and EqualLogic Inc. until their acquisition by BMC Inc. and Dell, respectively.
Most recently Gillis was interim Chief Financial Officer at Avaya Inc. Previously Gillis was senior vice president of administration and integration from July 2005 through January 2006 at Symantec Corporation, which he joined as a result of Symantec’s merger with VERITAS Software. At Symantec, Gillis was responsible for managing the integration management office, information technology and global operations, including manufacturing, logistics, purchasing, facilities, and security.
At VERITAS Software, Gillis was executive vice president and chief financial officer. Prior to joining VERITAS in November 2002, Gillis was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC).
From 1991 through 1995, Gillis was the chief financial officer for Lotus Development Corporation. Before joining Lotus, Gillis spent 15 years with Coopers & Lybrand as a certified public accountant and general practice partner in its Boston office.
Gillis earned a bachelor's degree in government from Clark University. In addition, he holds a master's degree in international relations from the University of Southern California, and a master's in business administration from Harvard Business School.
