Account Executive

Role
In this hunter role, working as an Account Executive you will be responsible for generating new business for Sophos products and services, managing accounts and all incoming new customer queries.
This position is based in our US office in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Main duties
- Develop, manage, and report on a sales pipeline within the territory
- Create and implement a strategic territory plan in conjuncture with sales manager
- Responsible for accurately identifying weekly forecasts as revenue
- Work with Channel Partners to identify and develop new business wins for Sophos
- Work with resellers to develop their understanding of the Sophos Channel Program
- Engage resources and people within Sophos to ensure successful relationships with Channel Partners
- Develop and maintain internal relationships with other sales teams and different functions within Sophos
- Identify opportunities in the target market to acquire and develop customers
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of Sophos products and services
- Adhere to CRM, business systems and activity management standards
- May work with a strict vertical market – (Corporate, Higher Education, Government, K-12)
- Establish a support mechanism to make Sophos the easiest and preferred vendor to work with and actively remove barriers to that gain.
- To gather and monitor sales forecasts from partners and report internally in a timely fashion.
- Attendance and support of Channel related marketing events
Experience and skills
- Excellent knowledge of the corporate market and its dynamics
- Experience working with channels
- Experience in developing mutually beneficial relationships
- Grounding in the computer security market
- 2+ years' experience of software sales, preferably in a security related field
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Be skilled at cold calling
- Have strong negotiating skills
- Have a proven track record of closing deals on the phone
- Be able to exceed individual monthly and quarterly quotas
- Be able to develop new territories
