Channel Account Manager - QLD
Role
As an internal Channel Account Manager you will manage the relationship with a group of re-sellers in order to develop and maintain Sophos business. You will champion Sophos with Channel partners and meet and exceed sales targets as established.
Our Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) sales division is driven from our Asia Pacific (APAC) office in North Sydney, Australia. This Channel sales role will be based in Brisbane, Queensland. The position will report into the Channel Sales Manager for ANZ with a dotted line to our Branch Manager for Queensland.
Main duties
- Work with Channel Partners to identify and develop new business wins for Sophos.
- Work with Channel Partners to develop and manage marketing plans to further Sophos business and develop a win/win relationship.
- Manage the financial aspects of the Channel Partner relationship including revenue, renewals rate, margin, and marketing funds.
- Representing the needs of the Channel Partner to supporting departments (e.g. Product Management, Sales Administration, Technical Support) within Sophos.
- Engage resources and people within Sophos to ensure successful relationships with Channel Partners.
- Maintain high activity rates principally through weekly and proactive telephonic contact .
- Establishing a support mechanism to make Sophos the easiest and preferred vendor to work with and actively remove barriers to that gain.
- Gather and monitor sales forecasts from partners and report internally in a timely fashion.
- Attendance and support of Channel related marketing events.
- Identify and develop prospective new Channel Partners requiring account management.
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of Sophos products and services.
- Adherence to CRM, business systems and activity management standards
Experience and skills
Essential:- Exposure to a sales environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly competent office admin skills (spreadsheet, word processing, data entry etc.)
- Excellent telephone skills
- A personable team player
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A pro-active open attitude
Highly desirable:
- Some customer service or telemarketing experience
- Experience working with databases and pulling reports
