Security Threat Researcher
Role
We are seeking a new researcher/analyst to assist in the analysis of malware, spam and combined security threats. The successful candidate will ideally be a patient and excellent problem solver with a mature attitude and who is also a good team player.
Salary and benefits package will vary depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications and current knowledge and skill set.

Main duties
- Reverse engineer files to identify and then provide protection against any malicious content
- Contribute to improving the automation of analysis tasks and system design
- Investigate future threat topicsinvestigate future threat topics
- Present at industry conferences or events if required
Experience and skills
Essential:
- A degree in computing - e.g Bachelor of Computer Science or Bachelor of Engineering (Computer/Electrical/Telecommunications) OR relevant skills/experience in IT
- Excellent problem solving skills
- A desire to understand how things work under the hood
- A genuine interest in IT security
Desirable:
- Knowledge of operating system internals
- Experience with assembly language
- Experience with debuggers and disassemblers
