Swine flu and Troj/JSRedir-R
After a couple of weeks vacation I came back to work to see that Troj/JSRedir-R was still going strong. In my last post (here) I mentioned a few points for web masters to consider when cleaning up an infection. Since then Troj/JSRedir-R has changed the site it points too but the points are still valid. Also webmasters should look at the Unmask Parasites.com comments regarding sites that have been blacklisted by Google.
So what has Swine flu got to do with Troj/JSRedir-R? Well looking through lists of websites reported to SophosLabs as being infected I saw a Lebanese government website in the list. Naturally, I have tried to contact the webmaster but so far have been unsuccessful.
The website is a part of the Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon and provides information about the H1N1 (aka Swine flu) so while trying to protect yourself from a human virus you are leaving yourself open to computer viruses.
