Baby Malware
The old ecard trick to spread malware never gets old, does it? In the past, we have seen ecards during holiday seasons and also from friends and neighbours. Now we have a cute little child trying to tell us that a secret admirer has sent us a special ecard:
Rough translation (from Google Translate) of the whole message is
“Available in 5 days
Someone sent you a Special Card Secret!
I will tell you a secret:
I love you!
See the message that person left for you!
Click Here!!!”
The “Click here” button below the image points to a remote location that proceeds to download the malware, which Sophos proactively detects as Mal/Banker-E.
Wonder what will they try next? ;-)
