Yours, Secretary of State for Health. Part II

In one of my earlier posts I asked if you would like to play ‘the spot the errors game’.

How many errors did you spot?

Spelling. Patricia Hewitt is a highly educated person (including sojourns in Oxbridge) and some of the spelling mistakes are child like.

  • intergrity - for ‘integrity’
  • destributed - for ‘distributed’
  • priviledge - for ‘privilege’
  • mentainace - for ‘maintenance’
  • trully - for ‘truly’ (this is funny if you look up the word trull)
  • scamers - for ’scammers’

Note: ‘neighbouring’ is a correct British spelling.Other miscellaneous errors.

  • MP of Leicester - MP for Leicester West
  • 30% off - 30% of
  • her excellency Queen Elizabeth - Her Majesty, excellency is normally used for Diplomats and Cardinals
  • her excellency Queen Elizabeth - Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Elizabeth died in 1603
  • London SE37 88AQ - This is a made up address London Postcodes do not go up that high

The signs are there to spot this type of scam. Why then do people fall prey to them?
