Tie a yellow ribbon …
Reading the blog of a malware colleague this morning I saw an interesting post. Roger Thompson highlighted that the Texas National Guards website has been attacked. SophosLabs have been monitoring the attack for a few days.
Judging from the number of sites compromised the National Guard site was not specifically targeted in this attack. Sophos detects the malware residing on the National Guard site as Mal/ObfJS-A and has been detecting the pages in between as various things. In the case that Roger highlighted Sophos detects the final PDF as Troj/PDFJs-A.
