Coming To A Conference Near You!

The next few weeks is going to be very busy for me and many other members of SophosLabs it appears to be conference “season”.

Next Wednesday (September 17th) I’m taking part in a panel session at Interop in New York entitled “What about the Endpoint?” where I’ll be discussing how desktop products are changing to meet the changing threats. For me it’s all about reducing the attack surface, minimizing the applications and systems that can be attacked.

The following week, I’ll be at the Messaging Anti Abuse Working Group (MAAWG) meeting in Fort Lauderdale to present further information on whether there is a Typhoid Mary hiding in your linux servers that Billy blogged earlier this week.

The week after that, it’s time for the annual Virus researcher “get together” that is the Virus Bulletin conference, this year it’s been imaginatively called VB2008. This year its in Ottawa and we have a number of presentations from Sophos.

A busy time, and I’ll be racking up my airmiles!
